Hampton Park Kid’s Fishing Derby

Bring the kids to Skip Rock Lake for the Hampton Park Fishing Derby. This is always a great event!

All Hampton Park kids and grand kids are welcome!

• All fish will be released back into the lake.
• Nightcrawlers will be provided
• Other bait and lures are allowed but you have to provide your own
• All participants must bring their own fishing equipment.

Prizes given for largest fish and most fish in 3 age groups.

• 3-8
• 9-12
• 13-18

Check-in process

1. Please register for the event below on this page (once per child)
2. Show up the day of the event and check-in at the table. When you do this we will give you a label to place on the child’s shirt.
3. Put the label on the child’s shirt
4. Grab some nightcrawlers
5. Find a spot to fish

Event Process

• At 10am we will blow a horn and you will be able to start fishing
• Event marshals will be available around the lake to assist in counting and weighing fish
• When you catch a fish please tell a marshal, if the fish is large you must get the fish weighed or it will not count toward a prize.
